     Do the one assignment given to your class in the manner described below.  Each of the assignments described below are worth points, and is due tomorrow. 

If you did the data collection for the moles of chalk laboratory activity, then do assignment A below.   If you did not do the data collection for the moles of chalk laboratory activity or if you previously did assignment A, then do assignment B below.

A.. On the Moles of Chalk Laboratory Activity handout,

  1. Fill in the heading on the first page and on the Conclusions page including the number of your class section.
  2. If you have not already done so, cross out and ignore the portions of  Problems A and B and the Safety Considerations that have to do with using graphite, C(graph), which we did not use.
  3. If you have not already done so, record the Safety Considerations requested using the safety data sheets (SDS) in the student resources folder of your Google Drive.
  4. Write out a procedure for the laboratory activity.
  5. Complete the Analysis section of the handout U06-1.
  6. Correctly complete the sentences in the Conclusions section.
  7. This is a laboratory activity for which a RACERS type conclusion is not necessary.  Just carefully and accurately fill in the spaces given in the conclusions paragraph.
  8. Be ready to have your completed report peer edited if you wish to be eligible for maximum credit.
  9. The completed Laboratory Activity is to be handed on the next school day; only on-time reports qualify for possible maximum 20 points.

B.  The following is a core activity that must be completed by tomorrow.  The  Honors Chemistry Topics review sheet packet for the first semester, is available at Student Resources > Handouts > LARN 82 > HonorsChemistryTopics&ProblemsForReview.

  1. For each of the ten text chapters in your Honors Chemistry Topics review sheet packet for the first semester that we have studied, read over the description of  the objectives listed.
  2. Ask yourself if you understand the concept(s) addressed by each objective.
  3. Ask yourself if you are able to do each type of any calculation listed.  Check your own understanding by trying a few problems from the chapter being studied.
  4. Do the review exercises attached.

NOT APPLICABLE THIS YEAR:

1.   Continue studying for any of your Mid-Term Examination make up examinations.

2.  Continue studying for your open ended portion of your mid-year examination worth 20 points out of the total 100 points and the selected response portion of your mid-year examination worth 80 points out of the total of 100 points possible. The test will cover material from chapters one through ten and will be taken at your assigned test time as shown on the Infinite Campus web site.
